Jackson Pollock Visits La Grande Jatte

Jackson Pollock was well known among the East Hampton police for his drunk driving.  In fact, he had been involved in several accidents in East Hampton before the one that killed him in 1956.  In 1952 Pollock crashed his 1947 Cadillac convertible and totaled it.  I don’t know if he ever went to the park that inspired Seurat’s monumental work.  We can guess that he had seen the painting.
